Kate and Noah thought they had the kind of love that could last through anything. Until their world crumbles out from beneath them.
After months of separation, the tragic death of Jack, Kate's twin and Noah's best friend, throws them back together. As they try to heal from the horrific loss, will they be able to overcome old wounds or are they destined to live separately forever?
I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I rarely read New Adult books, but I have to admit, I love any and all kinds of romance, so this book kinda sucked me in since the first page. The romance in this book was a little bit slow, which is actually a good thing, because the main characters aren’t rushing back to fall in love with each other, and this makes it seemed more real, you know? And both of the characters weren’t perfect. They each had their flaws. Kate was such a pessimist, that there were times I wanted to jump into the book and strangle her. But she was strong, and she’s been through a lot. She’s smart too, knowing that the relationship could not go on if there were still questions left unanswered.
Nick was plain immature at the start, and I loved that there was actually some kind of character development going on there. And that he had his reasons too for being a jerk. I guess this whole book is about how sometimes it takes several years, and maybe a little bit more maturity, to actually keep a relationship going.
I cannot wait for other Laura Howard’s novels! I honestly think I just found my favourite NA series.
