End of Days is the explosive conclusion to Susan Ee’s bestselling Penryn & the End of Days trilogy.
After a daring escape from the angels, Penryn and Raffe are on the run. They’re both desperate to find a doctor who can reverse the twisted changes inflicted by the angels on Raffe and Penryn’s sister. As they set off in search of answers, a startling revelation about Raffe’s past unleashes dark forces that threaten them all.
When the angels release an apocalyptic nightmare onto humans, both sides are set on a path toward war. As unlikely alliances form and strategies shift, who will emerge victorious? Forced to pick sides in the fight for control of the earthly realm, Raffe and Penryn must choose: Their own kind, or each other?
This series has become one of my favorite series of all times. Also, BEST. ENDING. EVER.
We definitely get to see more of Raffe and Penryn’s moments, which I was seriously in need of especially since they both were separated for practically the whole of the second book. Penryn was more different, more mature, in which she had the face everything on her own. There was nobody there to guide her, and she had to make decisions that would best benefit the human race. Basically, she had to learn to put the human race before her love, that kinda thing.
And Beliel. OH MY GOD, I have a freaking love-hate thingy with him. We get to know more about him in this book, a part of him that we never knew existed, and the things that you would find out about him would make your eyes go as wide as saucers. It’s like, I was like WAIT, WHAT? HUH? BUT HOW? At least, that was how I felt. When there were times I would be like OH, BELIEL, and the next I would chastise myself because HELLO, IT’S BELIEL, THE CRUEL ASSHOLE.
The final battle definitely did not disappoint. I mean, I was looking forward to it, HAHAH we all knew it was gonna happen, but I was scared for the human race. I mean, against mean, powerful angels? *shudders* I kinda want to reread this whole series again, because I think it was one of the best series EVER. Like, legit, EVER.
Also, have I mentioned how cute as hell Raffe and Penryn are?
