At first, Jude and her twin brother are NoahandJude; inseparable. Noah draws constantly and is falling in love with the charismatic boy next door, while daredevil Jude wears red-red lipstick, cliff-dives, and does all the talking for both of them.

Years later, they are barely speaking. Something has happened to change the twins in different yet equally devastating ways . . . but then Jude meets an intriguing, irresistible boy and a mysterious new mentor.

The early years are Noah’s to tell; the later years are Jude’s. But they each have only half the story, and if they can only find their way back to one another, they’ll have a chance to remake their world.

OH HEY HI, IT’S BEEN A LONG WHILE SINCE I WRITE A LEGIT LONG REVIEW LIKE WOW HELLO.

But yes, the book that finally pulled me out of my blogging slump is I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson, and I actually received this book from Josephine for TBTBSecretSanta and I love love love it. This book is the moon, the sun, the hearts, the stars and it broke me but it fixed me back together again, and I loved it and hated it and omg this is my favorite book of 2017, even though it made me bawl like a little kid.

“We were all heading for each other on a collision course, no matter what. Maybe some people are just meant to be in the same story.”

THAT QUOTE. The moment I read that, it hit me hard and I started bawling. I cannot really explain myself but omg this book is bloody darn unique, I assure you. It’s from two different points of views but they’re the same yet different, because these are twins and like even though they’re different, they have the same thinking and I wish wish wish they had just talked TALKED TO EACH OTHER but oh my heart, their mistakes made them who they are and I know I am so not making any sense but omg guys, this book broke my heart.

“Quick, make a wish.
Take a (second or third or fourth) chance.
Remake the world.”

It wasn’t even about the romance. I mean that was good. It was really good, and hey, who am I kidding, I’ve always loved people who fall in love. BUT what made me really LOVE this book was the honest, beautiful way it was written. Jandy Nelson didn’t just write a book, she turned it into a living, breathing person. It felt real, it was real. And her beautiful beautiful words just bled all over me and I need more of her words.

“He floated into the air high above the sleeping forest, his green hat spinning a few feet above his head. In his hand was the open suitcase and out of it spilled a whole sky of stars.”

This book was damn good. NoahandJude are both worth knowing and I cannot get enough of them. SIGH. Yup, favorite damn book. akfnjdbkdf.

Beautiful.
